The Centre for Applied Ethics (The W. Maurice Young Centre for Applied Ethics) was created in 1993 by University of British Columbia primarily as "an interdisciplinary research centre"; its mission is to "bring moral philosophy into the public domain".

The website of the University of Miami Ethics Programs includes a section on its' Bioethics Program which covers a Genetics and Ethics Project. This includes guidelines and consent forms for genetic research on human subjects, and University of Miami guidelines on the use and care of animals in research, including genetic research.

Developed by the American Psychological Association (APA), Committee on Animal Research and Ethics (CARE). Guidelines for Ethical Conduct in the Care and Use of Animals were produced for "use by psychologists working with nonhuman animals".

Hastings Center, NY. Based in the US, the Hastings Center explores fundamental ethical questions in health care, biotechnology and the environment. It understands problems in bioethics within a broad social and intellectual context and conducts interdisciplinary research.

The National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee (NAEAC) was established in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 1999 and originally established in 1984 under previous legislation. The site contains the 2001 annual report, and other information, such as the Good Practice Guide for the Use of Animals in Research, Testing and Teaching, A Culture of Care, etc.

Office of Research Ethics, University of Waterloo. This site provides resources for University of Waterloo (UW) students. 'Research Involving Humans' has UW's guidelines and policies. The ethics committee's terms of reference are available as are a flowchart/checklist of the ethics review process and details on conducting research in local schools.
